| About the Aircraft: From the Jet Gyrodyne, Fairey developed the ambitious Rotodyne. It was a large, compound aircraft with a four-blade rotor. After it set a world speed record of 191 mph, January 5 , 1959, the Rotodyne was of much interest to commercial operators. |
